Wow, is it just me or is the video content on the internet starting to get more and more interesting? I think it’s just me…. I think it’s something to do with being able to view all this stuff that happened a long while ago again, nostalgia.
I remember watching this the first time round, what I loved about it was if you get to about 3:30 when the solo kicks in, it’s all out of tune and then Kris the bassist just stops and twiddles a knob and starts again. It was so shambolic. At the time I was amazed, it just wasn’t anything I’d seen a band do on TV. I mean, I was used to Top of The Pops lip-syncing.
I’ve never really got over Terry Christian’s terrible presenting skills either, but in a way, that kind of made the program. He couldn’t really talk that well. He didn’t really have any charisma or command of the audience. I remember once Amanda D’cadanay (sp) had to step in when he was getting heckled by one of the audience, lol, great television.
